This is a Freelance Unpaid Internship
This internship is a great opportunity for a recording student to get real-world recording and mixing experience.
Our YouTube channel has access to YouTube Space LA's facilities which include soundstages, recording studios and mixing studios. We film quite a bit of music and are going to start using the facilities to record both live and overdubbed tracks.
The ideal candidate has at least some experience with Pro Tools.
The times are usually afternoons and sometimes early evenings, 2-3 times a month.
We are seeking the following:
1. Production. You will be responsible for setting up / tearing down sound gear, mics, mixers, etc.. You will record our live sessions in the sound stage as well as our overdubs in the editing suites.
2. Mixing. You will be responsible for mixing the tracks, effects, processing, edits, etc. on Pro Tools and other mixing software.
Credits. This is an unpaid internship. You may earn college credit if applicable. We are offering a first engineer and mixer credit for this role.
Royalties. You will receive 2 royalty points on any tracks we release.
