Scheduling Coordinator, Streaming Video Services

Very Local, Hearst Television's streaming platform offering local news and original programming, is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator with exceptional organizational skills who can help execute on the overall programming schedule. The ideal candidate is a detail oriented, highly motivated self-starter who can work in a fast and sometimes unpredictable environment, is reliable, flexible, and a master problem solver. The Scheduling Coordinator will work closely with the Manager of Scheduling and other members of the scheduling team to edit and prep news station content for 27 FAST channels and VOD experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Use Adobe Premiere and other video editing tools to clean up and prep videos for digital delivery

• Contribute to and execute programming schedules in a rundown for multiple streaming FAST channels serving our local markets throughout the U.S.

• Schedule VOD content and stunts across multiple channels

• Manage the insertion of ad breaks, interstitial content and time fill in a virtualized rundown to create the optimal user experience

• Actively monitor station's streaming channels with an eye for spotting bugs, while looking for improvements

• Schedule live breaking news and events and monitor streams for errors

• Maintain meticulous metadata records associated with Hearst TV's growing video library

• Look for new ways to improve workflow and automations

Requirements:
• Proficient with Adobe Premiere

• 2 years of work experience in scheduling, programming and/or production

• Detail oriented

• Strong understanding of Google platform, especially Sheets, and Microsoft and Apple applications

• Familiarity with Airtable a plus

• FAST channel and streaming familiarity a plus

• Must possess superior organizational skills and be able to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment

• A collaborative and team-oriented sensibility
