Position:
Programming Assistant (part-time)
Reports To:
Assistant Program Director
Job Description:
The Programming Assistant helps the Program Director and Assistant Program Director with all aspects of the on-air product.
Job Responsibilities:
• Import music and production elements
• Edit new content and upload on an ongoing basis into comedy library
• Schedule comedy elements for ''98 Rock After Hours''
• Insert promos and liners into log
• Download and Import syndicated programming
• Assist with remote broadcasts
• Help maintain Music Master database
• Back up Asst. PD for scheduling logs
• Building and timing out clocks
• Writing copy and informational prep for interviews
• Recording and editing Ravens audio
• Editing and uploading audio for 98 Rock podcasts
• Creating show production & show promos
• Contribute to music meetings and promotion meetings
• Assisting with promotional events
• Assisting with live video operations in the Livewire studio and editing videos
• Recording breaks and interviews with on air talent
• Back up in-studio producer/board op
• Other duties as needed
• In-person attendance is required
Experience Requirements:
• Must be proficient in editing audio. Experience with Adobe Audition editing software is a plus.
• Prior experience with Wide Orbit automation systems and operating a studio console is desirable
• The ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills
Education:
• High School graduate or equivalent
