Overview:
Hearst Media Production Group is seeking a versatile freelance digital video editor with producer sensibilities. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience in the Adobe Creative Suite and strong knowledge of video content for broadcast, social media, and other online distribution. This role involves creating promos, sizzles, social media content, and other short-form deliverables. An ability to integrate graphics with images, text, music, and other elements is essential. Experience with digital animation is strongly preferred. We are looking for a highly creative expert who can bring personality and character to the work, elevating it above the competition.
Responsibilities:
- Producing videos across a variety of media platforms
- Curating a library of content
- Coordinating with networks for promo deliverables
- Interfacing with series production and digital teams to share assets
- Developing graphics and branding for online and broadcast campaigns
- Executing social media content distribution plans
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in post-production, social media video production, design, and animation
- Mastery of Adobe Premiere is a must
- Experience with Adobe AfterEffects and Photoshop required
- Experience editing high-end content for social/digital platforms
- Understanding of web-based codecs and workflows
- Ability to distill complex stories into fast-paced, short-form, snackable content
- Ability to adapt and work quickly under short deadlines
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Compensation:
- Pay range: $40.00 to $50.00 hourly
- Actual base pay offered is dependent upon various factors such as transferable skills, geographical location, work experience, business needs, market demands, and other factors permitted by law.
- Base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
