Full Time Job
KCRA 3, the Hearst Television station that is #1 in Sacramento, is looking for a creative and sharp Digital Producer. This person will be responsible for creating, writing and producing multiplatform content for KCRA. Successful candidates will have solid writing skills and operate with urgency. We are looking for a self-starter who is energetic, organized and works well with others. In-person attendance is required.

Job Responsibilities
• Create dynamic articles and social posts.
• Create engaging videos for digital and social platforms.
• Work to build on a newsroom culture of innovation and convergence.
• Utilize data to create interactive features for all platforms.
• Bring a consistent sense of urgency, immediacy and real-time strategies to digital news content and projects.
• Communicate effectively with assignment editors, producers, reporters, photographers, editors, production staff and news managers.
• Take an active role in daily editorial meetings, surfacing content that our audience is seeking.
• Pitch and produce high-impact original reporting with a sense of what works on social media.
• Utilize metrics to maximize the reach of our content and inform digital strategy.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred.
• Must have at least two years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Knowledge of newsroom computer systems ENPS, BitCentral and Oasis is a plus.
• Bilingual experience is a plus.
• Hearst Television is a proud supporter of military veterans. Military DINFOS experience will be considered.
