Gulf Coast News in Fort Myers, Florida is looking for a Creative Services Writer Producer to write, shoot, edit and design promotion for all media platforms. As a Writer Producer, you will work with the marketing and commercial production team to create campaign content across broadcast, streaming, digital, paid media, and social platforms. This role requires both creativity and strong organizational skills from a self-motivated team player who can deliver standout marketing content. You'll report to the Creative Services Director. This position involves writing, shooting, and editing promotions that drive audiences to Gulf Coast News and other platforms, strengthening our brand in a competitive market. You'll produce creative content for news, weather, sports, and entertainment, while supporting station events, campaigns, and marketing projects. The Creative Services Writer/Producer also helps execute research-driven initiatives. Responsibilities
• Write, shoot, and edit attention grabbing news topical and image promotion.
• Use station's social media and digital platforms to drive viewer engagement.
• Produce image, targeted sweeps stories, and investigative promos.
• Produce entertainment and programming promotion.
• Edit using Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Shoot using Canon C300 Mark III, DSLR's, and an array of lenses.
• Work closely with news producers, anchors, photographers, and managers.
• Deal with the challenges of time-sensitive deadlines without compromising.
• Creative contribution across all departments.
• In-person attendance required.
Requirements
• 3 years experience in Television writing or producing
• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
• Strong editing skills: Adobe Premiere experience preferred.
• Experience creating compelling promos.
• Ability to write, produce and edit promos start to finish.
• Meet tight deadlines and adapt to project requirements
• Highly organized with attention to details.
• Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Work efficiently under time constraints.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
• Work a flexible schedule including overtime, if necessary.
• Advanced knowledge and nuances of social media platforms.
• Working knowledge Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of production process including non-linear editing.
• Knowledge in videography and lighting.
• Demonstrated ability to write compelling, conversational copy.
• Must be a team player.
• Bilingual a Plus
• Related experience and/or training considered as well as a combination of education and experience.
• Related military training and experience will be considered.
