Assistant Editor (freelance)
Overview
Hearst Media Production Group is seeking a freelance Assistant Editor to join post-production. This role will be responsible for managing and prepping incoming and outgoing media for the editorial team.
The Assistant Editor position is based at Hearst Media Production Group's (HMPG) Glendale office and reports to the EP/Head of Post-Production.
Responsibilities
• Logging
• File management
• Syncing
• Exporting
• Light graphics (within Premiere)
• Creating ancillary deliverables such as press release stills, show clips, & music cue sheets
Experience
• 2 years of relevant experience in digital post-production
• Will consider relevant internships toward experience
• Experience with AfterEffects and Photoshop preferred
Qualifications
• Mastery of Premiere is a must
• The ability to adapt and work quickly under short deadlines
• Understanding of video codecs and workflows
• A high level of attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education
• Related experience and/or training considered as well as a combination of education and experience.
Salary/Benefits
$22.00 - $24.00 /hour USD
The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors.
