How do I hire a Stacker / Palletizer Operator? Overall Responsibility:
Operate and maintain stacker and palletizer while keeping production needs in mind in order to maximize the full potential of the team and efficiently produce quality products according to specific instructions.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Operate the Packman stackers, strappers and palletizer
• Provide maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Prepare stackers and supplies for production
• Check the number of copies per bundle
• Check belt pressures as well as the size and placement of brown wrapping paper
• Check labeling of palletizer
• Fix any problems causing production delays
• Follow the HSW rules, LOTO procedures and Machine safety program
• Report Health and safety hazards and unsafe acts
• Operate the Rima stackers for Safeway operation
• Setting up and operating the Ferag stackers for stack down
• Provide training for incoming associates
• Support all aspects of production
• To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required by Supervisors and Managers
Prerequisites:Buffer, Material Handler or Reel Stand Operator
Competencies:
Contribute to Team Success, Flexible and Adaptable, Customer Focus, Initiate Action, Decision Making, Applied Learning
Duration of Skill:
Learn: 6 Months
Master: 18 Months
