We are currently seeking a Special Sections Editor to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in producing special sections to cater to various audiences.
Position Summary:
The Special Sections Editor will report to the General Manager and be responsible for creating a wide range of content aimed at diverse audiences, including Dvino, LMT Kids, Salud, Dvino Living, Ask Us About Laredo, and various one-time opportunities designed to showcase accomplishments, such as the annual Readers' Choice edition. The Special Sections Editor will be a key member of our editorial team, contributing to the success of LMTeamAdvertising.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the editorial team to plan, develop, and produce engaging content for special sections.
• Conceptualize, assign, and edit articles, features, and multimedia content to meet the needs of target audiences.
• Manage the production process, ensuring that all special sections are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
• Work closely with advertisers and sponsors to integrate their messaging seamlessly into special sections.
• Coordinate with photographers, designers, and other team members to create visually appealing layouts.
• Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and style.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in journalism and communications.
Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of a few years of experience in journalism, editorial roles, or related fields.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in digital content creation and publishing tools.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
