The Connecticut Media Group is investing in its sales force and we want you to be a part of it! Hearst is searching for a dynamic Key Account Executive to maximize advertising sales revenue across our largest accounts and prospects. As a Key Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing and managing a sales pipeline and maintaining ongoing business relationships. You will be working with your customers/prospects to develop compelling solutions that best fit their marketing needs. As an advocate for the customer within Hearst, the role works in cooperation with other departments to ensure we are able to meet and exceed customer expectations both in performance and process.
As a Key Account Executive, you can expect the following:
• Manage an existing book of business of strategic accounts as well as establishing new relationships with some of the largest advertising spenders in the region.
• To articulately convey the value of the unique and attractive audience we serve as well as the portfolio of traditional and digital solutions we offer to existing and potential advertising partners.
• Execute sales tactics and plans, implement marketing strategies and deliver effective sales presentations with passion to consistently earn, retain and increase revenue.
• Become a valuable asset in the business community by boosting your client's businesses through multiple channels.
• Provide valuable feedback to management to improve on sales, product and marketing strategies.
• Research, prospecting, marketing, cold-calling, presenting, and closing - You own the sales cycle, and have the support of your local account management team to aid in continued support after the sale!
• Closely follow market trends and be versed in the latest advertising methods/technologies.
Requirements:
• Successful experience working with strategic, regional and/or multi-location businesses.
• An full understanding of the strategic sales cycle and demonstrated success in creative new ways to open doors to new prospects.
• Results oriented individual who strategically pursues business with energy and drive.
• Minimum of 5 years previous strategic sales experience required.
• Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets both in new business and overall revenue growth.
• Tech/Marketing-savvy with a strong understanding of the digital ad industry.
• Strong track record of successful internal and external relationship management.
