King Features Marketing Intern (T.Howard)
Today, over 100 years since its founding by William Randolph Hearst, King Features remains the world's premier distributor of comics, columns, editorial cartoons, puzzles and games, distributing in print and digital formats some 150 features to nearly 5,000 daily, Sunday, weekly and online newspapers and other publishers around the globe. The company's most beloved comic properties include popular classics like Beetle Bailey, Blondie, Dennis the Menace and Family Circus, as well as a growing variety of newer hits that draw on increasingly diverse and varied perspectives, including Curtis, Rhymes with Orange, Arctic Circle, Macanudo and Zits. In recent years, King Features has also significantly expanded its content offering to include a broad array of games, puzzles, and columns, as well as a selection of turnkey digital solutions to meet publishers' evolving needs.
This Marketing Intern will sit within Marketing on the Content Distribution team at an exciting time during its digital transformation, helping to breathe new life into classic properties and drive growth by helping to better package and promote King Features offerings to existing and new B2B buyers (primarily print and digital publishers). It will also provide support to our direct-to-consumer growth and social marketing efforts for ComicsKingdom.com, our ad supported comics subscription site, and our primary comic brands. This role is well-positioned to gain exposure to management as well as other areas of the King Features business.
Internship Responsibilities:
• Help to develop and maintain email marketing calendars and build campaigns, including content creation, set up and deployment.
• Support product marketing efforts, including designing (or working with external design partners to produce) a variety of new product collateral, including site graphics, one-sheets, PowerPoint decks, etc.
• Work with Director, DTC to develop and deploy new content ideas and social creative for ComicsKingdom.com and related comic brands.
• Assist with a variety of marketing coordination and planning activities.
