Inserter
Bay Area Production Services has two immediate openings for Inserter at its Bay Area production facility in Fremont. Inserters play a key role in the post-print process by ensuring the San Francisco Chronicle and other locally produced newspapers receive print advertising materials.
What Will You Do:
• Manually insert 'free-standing inserts' (FSIs) into inserting machines.
• Move and stack printed products from presses to pallets.
• Support all aspects of production as needed
• Maintain 5S (safety first) principles throughout the work area
• Provide training and support for incoming Inserters
• Other duties as assigned or required by production supervisors and staff
• This is an entry-level position and training will be provided
What will it take to be successful?
• Ability to repeatedly stand, bend and up to 10 pounds though out shift
• Ability to work four, 10-hour days, Tues-Fri 12 PM to 10:30 PM
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Understand technical applications easily and confidently
In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in California. The reasonable estimate is between $35,000 and $35,360. Please note this information is specific to those hired in Fremont. If this role is open to candidates outside of Fremont, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate's starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
