Digital Product/Project Manager
Division: King Features
We are currently looking for a Digital Product/Project Manager to be a key player in our emerging digital product strategy. This is a unique opportunity to help build and scale the digital products focused on portfolio of world-class comics, puzzles and pop culture brand franchises targeting a variety of fanbases and audience segments. Property franchises include Popeye, Betty Boop, The Phantom, Flash Gordon and Cuphead as well as DTC platforms like Comics Kingdom.com. Our mission is to build a fanbase for these and other emerging properties in entertainment, digital media, social media, and ecommerce. We need an experienced product lead to drive strategy, vision, and execution in a fast growing yet scrappy opportunity to leverage fanbases for new revenue streams.
In this role you will collaborate closely with outside developers, engineers, marketing, legal and other cross- functional IT team members within the organization to drive product experience improvements and technical scalability, bring our delivery mechanisms to the next level, and develop longer-term strategies to help in the evolution of the business.
You will help lead the product roadmap for King Features tech stack, including B2B and B2C product offerings, focusing on solving complex user problems with elegant easy to use experiences. We are looking for a customer-focused, data-driven, resourceful, team-oriented individual who demonstrates an ability to set and communicate vision, work across teams throughout the organization, with strong technical and business acumen that will help us achieve the goal of an upgraded, future proof modern tech stack that enables King Features and our content partners the ability to accelerate their transition to a digital business model.
Major Areas of Responsibility
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine product roadmap, initiative goals, business value, ROI and business requirements
• Work with technical architects and product owners to refine business requirements, analyze customer data
• In partnership with management, conduct user testing and/or implement A/B tests
• Build or work with cross-functional partners to create reporting to understand the impact of
delivered features. (Google Analytics, etc.)
• Further develop Products strategy, defining the vision, and driving crisp development execution
• Create, drive, and own the product roadmap for Digital Products
• Manage the entire product life cycle from ideation to planning and execution
• Develop a deep understanding of our users and their needs through market research and analysis of
user behavior
• Drive accountability to performance against a set of KPIs related to usage, revenue, customer
satisfaction, and inventory quality and growth
• Hypothesize, measure, and learn. Continuously test and leverage insights to inform decisions
• Represent the team with cross-functional partners and senior leaders in order to align resources and
prioritization

• Lead the technical conceptualizing and creation of a next generation content management, repurposing, and syndication platform.
Requirements
of the Role:
• Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams across the organization

• Propose, initiate and help prioritize new product development with business and engineering teams
• Document product requirements and user stories for new products to be used by the development
teams
• Help foresee and resolve issues that affect the development timeline
• Collaborate with digital marketing on go-to-market strategy and launch new product successfully
• Lead analysis of product adoption and ideation on optimization post-launch
• Help develop strategic and tactical initiatives to transform the customer experience and maximize
sales
• Enough technical depth to comfortably engage in problem solving with technical members
• Strong technology project management, people management, and vendor resource management
skills.
Required Skills:
• 5 years' experience in product management delivering highly successful and innovative software products
• Experience working with online video (archive, VOD, streaming) or technical background in media
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Ecommerce, Computer Science, Engineering and/or related field.
• Product development experience in agile environments
• 3-5 years in Product Management
• Start-up and rapid growth experience is a plus
• Proven track record managing a roadmap of large, complex features or products and ability to communicate recommendations to management
• Ability to write business requirements and user stories
• Experience in website A/B testing and merchandising principles
• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in web development.
• Willing to be hands-on yet strategic.
• Ability to make sound decisions confidently equally using intuition and data.
• Ability to manage through ambiguous and subjective situations.
• Autonomous work style yet has a strong sense of collaboration, urgency, creativity and results
driven.

• Track record of leveraging key capabilities of team experts so that work is distributed efficiency (e.g.
UX, technical change management)
