As a Credit Services Representative at Hearst Newspapers, you'll be a key player in managing over 1,500 accounts across our diverse media network. Your expertise in reconciliation, customer communication, and account management directly supports our mission to serve communities with trusted journalism and dynamic advertising solutions.

What You'll Do
• Reconcile large volumes of accounts, including disputes, short payments, and unapplied cash balances.
• Manage high-volume inbound and outbound communication with customers and sales teams.
• Secure timely payments and commitments through proactive account follow-ups.
• Place accounts on credit hold when necessary and work cross-functionally to resolve payment issues.
• Document activity thoroughly in the system to ensure clear communication and compliance.
• Provide training and support to other team members when needed.
• Lead monthly reviews and assist in preparing accounts for collection escalations.
• Process and apply payments while partnering with AR for remittance accuracy.
• Serve as the key liaison to sales teams, helping maintain account health and resolve escalations.
What You Bring
• 5 years in credit, collections, accounts receivable, or customer service.
• Strong reconciliation, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Confidence managing a high workload with accuracy and professionalism.
• A process-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask under pressure.
• Exceptional communication skills-written, verbal, and interpersonal.
