Content Strategist
Hearst is seeking a strategic, creative Content Strategist to drive sponsored-content and influencer marketing initiatives across our Television and Newspaper divisions. You'll own the end-to-end content process. This includes shaping campaign ideas to building ads for sponsored promotions while collaborating closely with sales, editorial teams, and external partners. This is a great role for fine-tuning both influencer and paid social media skill sets, all while working with nationally recognized media brands and clients!
What You'll Do
• Manage the complete lifecycle of sponsored requests: asset collection, copywriting/editing, editorial approvals, and multi-platform execution
• Oversee budget pacing and boosted-content strategy via Facebook Ads
• Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc.; define targeting, monitor spend, and deliver performance summaries.
• Identify and vet influencers across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube,
• LinkedIn); negotiate deliverables, usage rights and fees.
• Coordinate content briefs, production schedules and contract sign-off.
• Produce regular reporting and insights; recommend strategic pivots to improve KPIs (CTR, engagement, conversions).
• Develop best-practice guides and run workshops for internal stakeholders (sales reps, editors) on sponsored-content workflows and influencer marketing fundamentals.
• Maintain process documentation, style guides, and templates to streamline campaign execution.
What You Need
• 1-2 years of proven experience in creating and executing social media content and
• proven influencer campaign experience from start to end.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, advertising,
• or related field
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively work
• with editorial teams
• Experience with creating posts on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Twitter and other
• social channels are a huge plus!
• Experience using Facebook Ads Manager and other paid social media tools
• Ability to perform light design work (typically in Canva)
• Self-starter and quick to execute, brainstorm, and communicate with clients and sellers
• Content marketing and SEO writing experience is a plus!
• Hands-on proficiency in social media tools: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter; ad
• platforms (Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
