Hearst Magazines is a leader in transforming consumer experiences through innovative data-drive and AI solutions. We are seeking an innovative and AI-savvy data leader with a strong understanding of consumer experiences, a record of data-driven transformative change and the ability to drive the future of our consumer data projects.
The Vice President of Consumer Data & AI Products will drive the strategy and execution of our consumer data initiatives, with a focus on AI to increase engagement, scale and first in class innovation. This leadership role requires a visionary who can harness the power of data and AI to create products that drive customer engagement and business growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for consumer data and AI products, with a focus on Generative AI
• Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, and deployment of data-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize product opportunities.
• Ensure data governance, privacy, and compliance standards are maintained.
• Leverage machine learning, predictive analytics and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to personalize consumer experience and optimize engagement.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in AI and data analytics.
QUALIFICATIONS
About you
No two projects are alike, nor are two candidates. The following experiences are common within your peer group, but not strict requirements.
• 7 years of product development and other related experience, digital advertising-related product experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience in AI product strategy, preferably including NLP, predictive modeling, and recommendation systems.
• Organizational skills needed to track and monitor multiple projects simultaneously.
• In-depth understanding of publishing, content and internet industry AI trends.
• Strong cross-functional management across product, engineering, data science and business units.
• Experience with AI, data and machine learning solutions
• Excellent track record in multinational and functional team communication, engaging across technical and executive stakeholders.
• A bachelor's degree in a business or legal field or equivalent real-life experience.
• Previous team management experience, a plus.
