Visual Assistant, Hearst Visual Group

The Hearst Visual Group is looking for an organized, self-starting visual assistant to join its fast-paced team. This position will act as both a photo researcher and a photo producer within the Visual Group, with an emphasis on Esquire, Men's Health, and Town & Country. This position also has heavy administrative responsibilities and works to support the photo editors within the Visual Group. You are the right candidate if you are an extremely detail-oriented multitasker and have completed at least one internship in the photo department of a major consumer magazine or website. Must have experience with photo research and photo production. A degree in photography is a plus. Responsibilities:

• Research photos for all sections of Esquire, Men's Health, and Town & Country using Getty as well as other photo agencies
• Coordinate Studio D (in-house photo studio) shoots
• Manage invoices, department expenses, estimates, advances, contracts, call sheets, and insurance
• Provide support for the Visual Group for all administrative tasks
• Help with photo production, including sourcing props
• Keep track of and input photo/production credits
