Hearst Magazines' Enthusiast Group, comprised of Popular Mechanics, Bicycling, and Runner's World, seeks a highly energetic, driven, detail-obsessed video producer to work with our small but successful video team creating aggregated and original video against specific and aggressive metrics and performance goals.
The ideal candidate has experience shooting and editing video for on-site plays as well as numerous social formats, and relishes creation with strategic purpose. In this role, you will work with team leaders across our entire group, manage multiple deadlines, produce on a daily as well as long-term basis, and help elevate the quality of all video across all our brands.
The role is based in the Enthusiast Group headquarters in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities:
• Work with the team leaders to understand performance metrics and create video content to meet our goals
• Entertain and surprise viewers with videos that break through users' feeds-both visually and in story
• Research and work with found and existing footage in creative ways
• Work with Video Edit team as needed to see through projects from idea to finished product
• Plan and shoot other special video projects as needed
Requirements:
• Three to five years of experience in all phases of digital video production, with a bonus for time spent in a management capacity
• The ability to collaborate across teams and up and down the masthead, building key internal relationships to facilitate teamwork across functions and brands
• A history of successfully partnering with ad sales and clients in the ideation and execution of revenue-generating video content
• An uncanny ability to be equally adept at paying attention to detail and driving big-picture strategy
• Effectively establish and manage projects against clearly-defined traffic and revenue goals amidst ever-changing priorities
• Affinity for running, cycling, fitness, or DIY in home, tech, or outdoors is a plus
