Your impact:
Town & Country is looking for a temporary Fashion Assistant to join their tight-knit market team, covering fashion and accessories. The ideal candidate is upbeat, organized and efficient, with impeccable taste and strong attention to detail. Please note: For consideration, resumes must be submitted in PDF format with a cover letter, salary requirements, and a link to a portfolio of work.
What you'll do:
• Sample trafficking for photoshoots: celebrity, cover, beauty, fashion, accessory, jewelry.
• Communicate via email with in-house and PR representatives to facilitate confirmations and logistics of samples for shoots.
• Previous experience and interest in writing about fashion news and style content for online.
• Comfortable and able to be in-office when needed to coordinate samples and pack for photoshoots as well as assist on-set from time to time. Also able to successfully work from home with a stable internet connection.
• Understanding of fashion trends and eye to compile seasonally.
• Knowledge of how to research and aggregate needed information into an easily understood manner.
• Managing calendar for various staff members; including, depending on time of year, fashion week schedules.
• Can work as a member of a small team as well as individually -- looking for someone who is a self-starter, proactively keeps up with a To Do list without micromanaging, and can directly assist editors when needed.
Who you are:
You have at least six months to a year of experience working in the fashion closet of a national fashion magazine
You have a strong interest in fashion, not just fashion publications
You function well in a fast-paced environment and have a strong administrative background
You have a good attitude, are open-minded and have top notch organization skills
The estimated rate for this role is $15-18 per hour. The pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
