HearstMade, Hearst's Branded Content Studio, is seeking a Branded Content Strategy and Business Development Lead to manage strategy and development. This position will work alongside the Editorial Director and the Creative Director of HearstMade and will develop innovative and creative ways to secure new clients and foster the growth of existing clients.
The ideal candidate must understand client and team dynamics as well as the ability to deliver smart, sound thinking around client objectives and strategies that provide measurable results. The role requires a leader who can deliver innovative thinking, produce compelling decks, troubleshoot client issues as well as oversee the financial health of the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the key presenter and point of contact for clients, creating strong relationships with senior level client executives
• Continual business development to grow HearstMade revenue by leveraging key client relationships, development of opportunistic pitches, and identifying new revenue streams
• Pitch new ideas to clients, form new relationships, and help to execute the deal
• Negotiating deal-points with clients
• Develop brand strategy differentiating HearstMade in the marketplace in all internal and external communications
• Manage prospecting and sales strategy for HearstMade

• Strategic thinker and idea generator with exceptional communication skills to command a room and present concepts with strategic credibility
• Experience maintaining positive client relationships, successfully troubleshooting client and internal issues
• A drive to generate new business opportunities
• Must have managed a brand experience
• Understanding of financial and operational performance to ensure quality work, deadline and budget adherence
• A passion and strong understanding of custom media
• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit that can work well both independently and collaboratively and have an adaptable nature
• 12 years of experience with sales and marketing with expertise in branded content development and execution
