Responsibilities:
• Download bank reports. postage tracking reports, sales tax summary report and various status/activity reports for all magazines on a monthly basis
• Record earned income accruals for unserved subscription orders, DSI (deferred subscription income) accruals, and partners commission accruals
• Record intercompany transactions, daily subscription cash receipts, bank fees, and adjustments
• Record postage usage, amortization of subscription orders received from partners websites
• Update and reconcile the promotion allowance subscriptions
• Update agency commission schedule for tax department DSI (deferred subscription income) schedule
• Update agency/non-agency cash receipts schedule and reconcile Accounts Receivable/DSI accounts for all magazines
• Answer bank related research questions
• Handle invoice order requests
• Reclass intercompany journal entries
• Order deposit slips as needed
• Forward subscribers' issues to the proper department
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university is required
• 1-3 years' experience working as an Accountant
• Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word (Advanced Excel a plus)
• Experience with Oracle a plus
