Hearst Media Solutions is seeking a Senior Digital Marketing Manager to lead the Fitness and Wellness Center of Excellence (COE) across Men's Health, Women's Health, Prevention, Runner's World, and Bicycling. This person will be an experienced digital strategist with prior experience in developing creative and impactful marketing solutions that meet client objectives and drive digital revenue growth.
The Senior Manager will drive all marketing initiatives – across RFP responses and proposal development, GP-creation-consultation, third-party integration into HDM solutions, in-market capability evangelizing, etc. – across the wellness and fitness categories (i.e. supplement/vitamins/CBD, activewear, running shoes, sports retailers, healthy food retailers, outdoor apparel, and fitness tech and equipment amongst others) and will lead the creation of innovative campaigns on our platform(s.)
Responsibilities:
• Play the lead role in developing the holistic fitness and wellness marketing strategy across Men's Health, Women's Health, Prevention, Runner's World, and Bicycling by staying abreast of the marketplace competition and digital innovations in the fitness and wellness space
• Ideate and develop custom solutions in response to endemic and non-endemic digital RFPs and proactive requests in the fitness and wellness space, collaborating with Sales, Ad Product & Solutions, Branded Content Editors, Ad Operations, and Media Planning
• Attend client meetings to present digital opportunities as needed
• Facilitate turnover of sold digital program to Project Manager. Stay connected to sold programs throughout the execution phase to ensure quality of execution and program success
• Assist in RFP and proactive requests across the Young Women's Group (Cosmo, Women's Health, Seventeen, Clevver) and Men's Group (Esquire, Men's Health, Popular Mechanics), as needed
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Be a creative thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally to develop scalable solutions for clients
• Be a self-starter who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, and able to manage multiple deadlines and meeting requests across departments
• Have an interest in wellness and fitness industry, digital marketing experience, either on the client-side or through managing digital accounts at an agency, publisher or media company
• Possess a blend of strong writing and analytical skills and ideally, have experience translating complex targeting and data solutions and offerings into consumer-friendly messages and materials
• Have a strong familiarity with digital and social channels, both existing and emerging
• Possess excellent presentation skills with the ability to engage and excite clients in a polished and professional manner
• Always seeks to act as a partner and resource for Sales Directors
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 3.5 years of experience in digital marketing and/or advertising
• Proven experience solving advertiser objectives in a media, agency, publisher or content environment
• Strong knowledge of digital sales and marketing dynamics and processes
• Strong PowerPoint, Keynote and Excel skills required; InDesign and Photoshop a plus
• Knowledge of comScore, Adobe Analytics a plus
