Harper's BAZAAR is looking for a dynamic Social Media Manager to shape how one of the world's most iconic fashion brands shows up across social platforms. This role sits at the center of our digital storytelling-driving audience growth, cultural relevance, and commercial impact through smart, creative, and data-informed social strategy.
Key Responsibilities (What You're Doing)
• Develop and execute a cross-platform social media strategy aligned with Harper's BAZAAR's editorial vision, audience growth goals, and revenue priorities
• Lead day-to-day social publishing across Instagram, TikTok, X, Pinterest, and emerging platforms, including content planning, scheduling, voice, and optimization
• Partner closely with Fashion, Beauty, Culture, Video, Commerce, and Audience Development teams to support launches, campaigns, fashion moments, and tentpole events
• Analyze performance across platforms and apply insights to refine content strategy, timing, and audience targeting
• Oversee workflows, freelancers, and junior editors to ensure speed, consistency, and high-quality execution aligned with brand voice
• Collaborate with branded content, affiliate, and marketing teams to ensure social strategy supports commercial and partnership objectives
Qualifications (What We're Looking For)
• Experience managing social media for a major brand, media company, or fashion/luxury publisher, with a strong track record of growth and engagement
• Deep understanding of platform-specific strategy, particularly across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging social channels
• Strong editorial judgment with the ability to translate fashion, beauty, and culture into compelling social-first storytelling
• Comfort using analytics and performance tools to inform strategy and optimize results
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience partnering across editorial, video, and commercial teams
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom environment
• This role operates on a hybrid schedule and requires being in the New York City office 4 days per week
This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
