DESCRIPTION:
Town & Country is looking for a senior social media editor to oversee strategy for the brand's many digital platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Apple News, and more. This position will be tasked with increasing the brand's performance on all platforms, with a focus on innovation, engagement, and growth. The ideal candidate is deeply engaged in culture, society, and style and be able to bring the exclusive world that Town & Country covers to life on social.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Devise a clear strategy for increased growth and engagement on all of T&C's social channels.
• Assist editors in creating engaging content for social.
• Oversee a social content calendar to produce a consistent cadence of posts and cover all relevant news and cultural events even when outside of normal business hours.
• Create content for and post to the brand's Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram accounts.
• Monitor social media platforms and audience feedback to inform editorial decision-making.
• Work with various editorial, branded, and partnership teams to create and execute on social-first initiatives, including paid programs.
• Write editorial stories for the Town & Country website.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 6-8 years of post-grad social media experience, preferably for a consumer editorial brand.
• An innovative and creative thinker, with big ideas and lots of creative energy.
• Strong editorial judgment and clean writing skills.
• Keen understanding of the brand's voice.
• Proficiency with social platforms (including TikTok and other emerging platforms) and tools (including True Anthem, Dash Hudson, and Google Analytics).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Able to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or other relevant area.
