Your Impact:
ELLE.com is looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Senior Market and Commerce Editor who is well-versed in the shopping landscape. In this position, you will work closely with the Digital Director to shape and expand the site's fashion and commerce coverage by ideating, writing, and editing long-lead features and organizing and executing the brand's SEO and e-commerce strategy. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for writing engaging copy for product roundups and launches, timely holiday sales, and other shopping stories that elevate the organic SEO goals of the site. Additionally, this candidate will be asked to appear as talent in fun, engaging TikTok and YouTube videos to further drive traffic.
What You'll Do:
• Pitch, report, and edit engaging stories related to fashion, SEO, and commerce.
• Expertise in understanding storytelling, social media, and in-depth market knowledge to create a cohesive narrative that marries ELLE's style guide with a revenue-boosting slant
• Pitch, report, and edit engaging stories related to fashion, SEO, and commerce.
• Coordinate with SEO and E-Commerce teams to manage and execute strategies and tactics to increase Google visibility and optimize affiliate metrics that lead to opportunities for sales growth. This includes but is not limited to timely sales posts, gift guides, SEO keyword-generated market stories, and other revenue-generating stories, all while never sacrificing ELLE's editorial POV.
• Collaborate with print fashion and marketing teams to make sure content is aligned with the magazine.
• Establish relationships with a wide-reaching network of internal and external partners, including top-tier writers, fashion insiders, top retailers, designers, and representatives of major fashion and tech companies
• Collaborate with social media team to ensure an optimized, multi-platform experience of ELLE's fashion and market coverage
• Experience with Google Analytics, Asana, Looker, and all social media platforms.
