Your impact
Do you love warmer weather? Do you crave a house with a porch? Do you want to work out of a converted biscuit factory with an on-site ice cream shop, beer warehouse, farmer's market, and nationally recognized restaurants? Do you have a soft spot for old houses, vintage shopping, and Dolly Parton memes? Country Living is hiring a senior digital editor with a strategic, detail-oriented mindset to drive traffic and create meaningful content for Country Living's digital arm. This position will oversee daily news coverage, produce search-optimized service packages, and top-edit digital stories across categories. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced digital environment and have a passion for design and decorating, food, and all things pop culture. NOTE: For consideration, resumes must be received in .pdf format with a cover letter, salary requirements, and a link to a portfolio of work.
What you'll do

• Pitch, write, and produce cross-platform, service-oriented features and package them to run across digital, video, and print
• Use analytics, Google trends, and SEO learnings to maximize site search traffic
• Top-edit 10 digital stories a day, from home tours and decorating tips to news, features, and shopping stories
• Work with a team of digital editors and video editors/producers to meet traffic, views, and content strategy goals
• Liaise with branded content, marketing, and licensing teams to ensure any digital content for programs is on-brand and will perform for our audience
Who you are
• You have at least five years of professional post-grad experience in producing digital editorial content for a consumer lifestyle or shelter brand
• You have excellent writing and editing skills
• You have strong service journalism experience
• You are passionate about home décor, interior design, and the country lifestyle (think small towns, antique stores…)
• You have experience mentoring younger writers and leading a team
• You know what makes a compelling/successful video
