This is a Full Time Job
We are seeking a meticulous, highly organized Temporary Media Manager to join our Video team. This role is ideal for someone with a technical and creative mindset who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and has a solid understanding of media workflows. The Temporary Media Manager will be primarily responsible for the ingestion, organization, and distribution of video assets across various teams and stakeholders. In addition, this person will provide light Assistant Editor (AE) support for select post-production tasks.
This is a full-time, in-office role based at our production facility. Candidates must be available during standard business hours and demonstrate flexibility when high-priority or time-sensitive media needs arise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Media Management
• Receive and process media cards (CF, SD, etc.) and file transfers from internal teams across the organization.
• Ingest footage to our central server promptly and with attention to accuracy.
• Organize and maintain project folder structures according to established standards and naming conventions.
• Manage and track file transfers to/from freelancers, vendors, and other stakeholders using approved transfer tools.
• For finished projects: ensure all associated assets are properly accounted for, organized, and backed up.
Assistant Editing Support
• Create string-outs and exports of raw or selected footage for review and creative development.
• Set up non-linear editing (NLE) project files with correct sequences, frame rates, codecs, and organizational structure.
• Sync multicam or dual-system audio footage as needed.
• Assist with final project ingestion and documentation at project closeout.
Team Collaboration
• Work closely with video editors, producers, and post supervisors to ensure seamless handoffs and efficient workflow.
• Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders to track and resolve issues related to asset availability, file integrity, or delivery timing.
• Support the technical post-production team in implementing best practices and evolving workflows as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
• 2–3 years of experience in media management, assistant editing, or post-production coordination.
• Proficiency with NLEs, most critically with Adobe Premiere Pro and the Adobe suite of software
• Solid knowledge of file formats, codecs, frame rates, and audio/video syncing.
• Comfortable using file transfer tools such as Frame.io, Aspera, Dropbox, or similar.
• Understanding of storage systems, media servers, and organizational workflows.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize under tight deadlines, and handle media with care and confidentiality.
Preferred Skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced content production environment.
• Knowledge of archival systems or digital asset management platforms.
