Marketing Coordinator
O, The Oprah Magazine is seeking a highly-organized, creative and business-minded
individual who will assist the Research Marketing Director in the
advertising department. The role will
support the sales and marketing team by the creation of marketing
materials. This will include the analysis of both primary and secondary
research, and the review and the packaging of that information into compelling
sales materials and presentations. In addition, the Marketing Coordinator will aid in the management of our O Mag Insiders, O's award-winning group of 60 brand ambassadors, in marketing
campaigns that span print media, the web, and social media, as well as general
community management. The role also
includes analysis of share of market and development of prospect lists to fuel
advertising growth in the department.
Job
Responsibilities:
• Compiling and distribution of monthly business reports:
• Mutual/Exclusive/Missing business report from PIB data
• Share of Market reporting for O Magazine's competitive set and
Hearst
• As-needed Starch ad efficiency analysis, including monthly
presentation of results to staff
• Monitoring and
update of monthly materials and sell sheets
• Prepare,
maintain and update media kit materials, both in printed pieces and online
• Assistance in
managing of the O Mag Insider brand ambassador group
• Strategic
analysis of the primary and secondary research to craft advertising
pitches
Requirements:
• Excellent
communication and problem-solving skills, and be well-organized,
detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks
• High
competency of key computer programs, including Excel and Powerpoint is a
must. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Google Analytics, MRI, Starch and
comScore a plus
• Ability
to manage multiple tasks and stay on deadline are required in this role
• High-energy,
can-do attitude, and will thrive in a multi-faceted, fast-paced
environment
• Minimum 1 year media experience; sales or marketing experience a
plus
