Full Time Job
Hearst Brand Development is searching for a group Coordinator to assist with the department's role in extending third-party licensing partnerships that expand IP magazine content, working across the magazine division's content portfolio. In this role you will collaborate with editors, publishers, agents and manufacturers to help create enterprise value by building lifestyle franchise opportunities across a wide range of targeted demographics, retail and e-commerce distribution channels, categories, and consumer experiences. This position works cross-functionally within Hearst and its outside business partners and performs all general administrative responsibilities to support the Group Vice President & Global Chief Licensing Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative
Manage day to day functions of brand licensing programs and accounts, from initial pitch to concept development leading to promotion of brand at retail
Office manager duties including: handling expenses, calendars, and travel, scheduling internal and external meetings, filing and organization, ordering office supplies, processing invoices, and maintaining licensing product showroom
Legal
Implement signature process and work with agents/licensees to obtain fully executed contracts, amendments, and deal memos
Update biweekly meeting agendas with Hearst legal team
Coordinate trademark registrations, expirations, and renewals
Creative/Marketing/Sales
Provide creative director with trend directions and terminology from editorial
Track production samples and approvals
Update and copyedit marketing materials, product descriptions, and other retail promotion
Support marketing director's efforts, tracking internal and external print, digital, social media campaigns
Assist in planning and executing events and launches
Oversee and strategize social media efforts worldwide
Obtain brand presentations and collateral
Secure editorial mentions, updating best sellers lists for reference/inclusion
Perform new business and competitive market research
Place requests and collect data from the Hearst Research team in order to provide compelling indexes to support sales efforts
Assist with special projects as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
1 years of related experience, preferably in a corporate environment or media company
Enthusiastic, collaborative, pro-active, detail-oriented, organized and self-motivated
Flexible with ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects
Very strong organizational and interpersonal skills - excellent communication (oral and written)
Ability to analyze and interpret data and consumer insights
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point
Basic knowledge of InDesign
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
