The Internship Program
The Hearst Magazines Summer Internship Program is a paid, full time 11-week program for undergraduate rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors. From June 6 – August 19, 2022, our interns will gain an immersive, hands-on experience with one of the top publishers in the world.
In addition to working with their assigned team on important projects, interns will gain access to Hearst's diverse professional network by participating in intimate learning sessions and join fun peer networking activities throughout the summer. Program participants will also leverage Hearst's resources to work on and present a group project to senior leaders at the conclusion of the program.
Our ideal intern for this program will be enthusiastic, organized, ready to absorb tons of knowledge this summer!
Your Impact
Country Living?is looking for an editorial digital intern for their close-knit team based in Birmingham, Alabama. Our web site covers a little bit of everything - from core content pillars, including home decorating and food, to celebrity news and the hottest TV shows (our audience loves Yellowstone and LeAnn Rimes!). eCommerce articles are a major focus this year with gift guides ranging from what to buy for the dad who says he wants nothing to the best air fryers (and truly everything in between!).
This intern will be responsible for writing new digital SEO content and assisting the team with building Country Living's current content.
What you'll do
• Writing SEO and affiliate digital stories?and updating existing content
• Assist team with building stories by sourcing images, and fact-checking content
Who you are
• You have strong research, organizational, and communication skills
• Knowledge of social media platforms
• Familiarity with basic digital production tools/content management systems
• Preferred Majors: Journalism, English, Communications, Interior Design
