About HearstMade
HearstMade is the in-house branded content studio for all of Hearst Magazines. Through a combination of data-driven insight and editorial instinct, we create stories that not only get attention but drive action. We are looking for an Head of Creative to join our team of editors, designers, photo and video producers and talent bookers in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Your Impact:
The Head of Creative will lead a team of highly creative, multi-platform branded content creatives to facilitate digital and photography content for big name clients such as Diageo, Toyota, Gucci, The Ritz-Carlton and The Home Depot, covering every category from food, fashion, beauty, home, lifestyle, automotive, to health. The Head of Creative is responsible for overseeing every aspect of creative from development to design and production to final deliverable and is the authority to our Clients on content production and how our content works within Hearst ad products.
This person will work closely with Hearst Magazines' sales and marketing teams, activation managers, and Hearstmade editors to ensure that content is in line with both client KPIs and each brand's creative voice. This person will report to the leader of HearstMade. Please note: Candidates must include their resume in .pdf or .doc format with salary requirements to be considered.
What You'll Do:
• Oversee the Creative content delivered by HearstMade
• Manage leaders in Design, Photography, Production, Video and Post-production with a team of around 30
• Provide leadership in key client meetings
• Trouble shoot and problem solve innovative ways to deliver Client content on time, on budget and with highest quality results
• Understand CMS, Hearst Brands/voices, Hearst ad products, as well as new social/digital opportunities
Who You Are:
• 10 years experience in Art/Video Direction/Production, including Branded Content
• 3 years experience in a creative leadership role, with proven management skills
• A p ortfolio of work demonstrating exceptional digital social/video and photo expertise and the creation of high performing campaign programs
• Extensive knowledge of executing Branded Content creative programs across a wide spectrum of categories
• Exceptional strength in visualizing and presenting complex concepts with strength and conviction
• Excellent communication, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong builder of collaboration with internal teammates, ad sales/marketers, activation, product developers and finance
• Strong grasp of and interest in the latest technology, digital tools and social media trends
• Ability to provide clear creative direction and oversight along with helpful feedback
• Obsession with problem solving, collaboration and ensuring flawless execution of highly compelling, captivating, and engaging brand experiences from start to finish
• Strength in being an active contributor to discussions involving strategy, ideation, execution, and production
• Ability to plan, prioritize and oversee multiple projects while managing and supporting the Creative teams
• Ability to think quickly under pressure, as well as guide the team to produce the best possible results
• Understanding of publishing CMS, Adobe CC, Figma, Celtra, a plus
