Hearst Magazines is looking for a Group Creative Director, Consumer Products
to oversee multiple projects across our digital platforms. Hearst Magazines is dedicated to creating exceptional new products. In addition to our millions of paid subscribers we are actively developing new consumer products, from fragrances, to Memberships, to Yoga Mats, to Streaming services. Hearst Magazines is reinventing what a media company can be in the future.
What you'll do
• Manage the creative direction for all marketing efforts across print and digital subscriptions, membership, consumer video experiences (SVOD, TVOD) licensed and owned products with a focus on the desired results
• Lead the creative design development of all consumer books and products
• Work closely with the product development teams, marketing and editorial teams to understand target audiences and media consumption behavior and trends
• Manage the creative strategy and direction of multiple marketing projects, campaigns, and our e-commerce stores
• Work closely with the brand teams to understand and interpret the brand aesthetic and design rubric for consumers
• Manage the creative strategy and direction of multiple marketing projects and campaigns
• Grow internal team relationships to deepen their knowledge of branding and marketing strategy
Who you are
Ideal candidates have:
• 7 years design experience in a direct-to-consumer and product and marketing design
• Managed a team of Designers
• An innate ability to direct creative work in a fast-paced environment
• Created multi-million dollar marketing campaigns for well-known consumer brands and products
• Strong knowledge of consumer brand strategy, branding, interaction design, technology, usability, and experience design
• A very data driven approach
• Exceptional communication skills across teams and functions
• An online portfolio with strong visual design and creative campaign projects
• Experience at a digital advertising agency a plus
