Your impact:
Elle magazine is searching for an ambitious and creative digital director to oversee the content of its website and social platforms. This role reports to the Editor in Chief and is responsible for shaping the editorial vision for the site and developing enterprising ideas to grow the ELLE brand on every platform. She or he must be a strategic thinker and deft manager who can both see the big picture and sweat the details. Please note that for consideration resumes must be submitted in .pdf format with a cover letter, salary requirements, and a link to a portfolio of work.
What you'll do:
• Oversee all content on ELLE.com and ELLE's social platforms
• Develop a strategy to engage the digital audience, while ensuring that the content is timely, elevated, and fits ELLE's visual identity and voice
• Mentor, manage, and grow a talented team of editors and designers
• Collaborate with print, video, and digital teams to create and execute ambitious editorial packages
• Work with ad sales, audience development, and e-commerce teams to execute on shared goals
• Oversee the ELLE.com content budget thoughtfully and strategically
Who you are:
• Have 10 or more years of experience in editorial, with an emphasis on fashion, beauty, and culture coverage
• Bring at least 5 years of management experience
• Offer strong editing and writing skills, specifically in features
• Have relationships with writers and talent who would be a good fit for ELLE
