This is a Full Time Job
Elle magazine is searching for a digital deputy editor to top edit, write, and assign content on its website and social platforms. This role reports to the digital director and will be focused on helping to oversee the day-to-day content on the site, as well as shaping the news & politics vertical, helming our key franchises from a 360-view, and managing members of the editorial team. This deputy editor will leverage key relationships and contacts to maintain Elle's authority as a trusted news source, with reported features and a razor-sharp take on fashion, beauty, culture, and lifestyle, as well as elevate its digital content.

What you'll do:
• Top edit and write news & politics content for Elle.com, as well as celebrity, franchise, and other miscellaneous content as needed
• Develop a strategy to bring Elle's news & politics point-of-view to life on digital, while meeting traffic and SEO goals
• Mentor, manage, and grow a talented team of digital editors
• Work with ad sales, audience development, and e-commerce teams to execute on shared goals
Who you are:
• A seasoned editor or writer with 7 or more years of experience
• An experienced manager who has overseen at least 2 direct reports
• A fluent digital editor, strong in analytics and an understanding of SEO, AP Style, and InCopy
The base salary for this role is between $85,000 and $102,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
