Your Impact
The Marketing Coordinator will contribute to ad sales marketing efforts for the industry team they are associated with, providing a wide range of support. This will include helping our Marketing & Account Strategy staffers in the creation of revenue-generating, industry-leading solutions that leverage Hearst's editorial power, integrity, innovative advertising products and opportunities, data capabilities, and internal and external partnerships, all in the service of meeting client objectives.
The Coordinator will also support our Brand & Content Strategy leads in the development of sales materials, presentations, and other output that helps us articulate what our editorial brands mean in the advertising marketplace. Lastly, they will help in a broad range of ad hoc activities that materialize in an always-changing marketplace, including advertiser events, programming, and various activations on behalf of clients.
This is a critical role that requires a generalist – someone who can write well, work pro-actively and independently, manage varied tasks, and project manage with dexterity, thoroughness, and attention to detail. The role will focus on smaller-budget projects in a variety of categories with strong potential to grow into managing larger-scale projects over time.
What You'll Do
• Project manage the development of smaller-scale pitch decks, gathering and disseminating information as needed, and monitoring timelines
• Assist in creating strategic, category-driven client presentations for sales development, focusing on data insights and core brand equities
• Help marketing team research and identify new opportunities and partnerships
• Collaborate with Event team, when needed, to help with major events where an ''all hands on deck'' approach is needed.
Who You Are
• Excellent writer who can communicate creative ideas in a clear, concise, vivid, and engaging manner
• Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the media industry and Hearst's brands, with a strong understanding of digital, social, and video media
• Ability to think creatively
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills
• Highly entrepreneurial - a self-starter who enjoys managing projects independently
• Ability to interpret research and data and to put that information to practical use in developing strategic concepts
• Design skills a plus
• Strong Keynote skills as well as fluency in Excel and Word
• 0-2 years experience , with interest in media/advertising/marketing industry
This role requires the position to be located in New York, NY with an in-office presence of 3 days a week.
The base salary for this role is $53,000 annually. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
