Associate Shopping Editor, Cosmo

Cosmopolitan is looking for an online-shopping-obsessed Associate Shopping Editor with great taste and an eye for good buys to join our prolific, ambitious, and creative (check, check, check!) shopping team. In this position, you will write, update/edit, and produce compelling e-commerce-driven stories across Cosmopolitan's lifestyle, beauty, fashion, and sex and relationships verticals, helping our readers find the perfect thing, whatever it is they're looking for. (A purse covered in corgis wearing top hats? Coming right up.) Your purview will include sales/deals stories, SEO-optimized commerce roundups, and big tent-pole events, such as Black Friday or Prime Day or the holiday gift guide season. In addition to being an enthusiastic self-starter with a fun and witty writing voice, you should also be comfortable using data analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Looker to monitor traffic and e-commerce goals, and identify new growth opportunities for the site.

This role will report into the senior shopping editor and contribute across verticals, including fashion, lifestyle, beauty, and sex & relationships. Please note: For consideration, resumes just be submitted in PDF format with a cover letter, salary requirements, and a link to a portfolio of work.

What you'll do:
• Write and produce dynamic shopping roundups, sales stories, and other e-commerce content

• Strategize with the SEO and e-commerce teams to pitch, create, and optimize e-commerce content

• Work closely with Cosmo's section leads and the rest of the shopping team to execute e-commerce-driven stories across verticals

• Update top-earning commerce stories to maintain brand voice and evolving best practices

• Keep an eye on Cosmo's (ambitious!) affiliate revenue goals and help us achieve them

Who you are:
• You have a keen eye for spotting trends and an understanding of what kinds of products resonate with the Cosmo audience

• You are organized, digital-savvy, and comfortable with data-driven content creation

• You are a sharp, funny, clean writer, and a creative editor

• You are passionate about online shopping, and you find the process of hunting for the perfect deal, well, thrilling

• You prioritize creating inclusive content

• You are a proven multi-tasker with excellent time-management skills and a track record for meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality

• You have experience adhering to both SEO and e-commerce best practices

• You have a solid understanding of digital media, with 2 to 4 years of relevant editorial work experience

The base salary for this role is between $64,000 to $66,000 annually. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
