Are you completely product obsessed? Are you always
showing up with the perfect gift? Do you love hunting for the ''next big
thing'' everyone will be buying?
BestProducts.com is looking for an associate editor to create content across all verticals. With a focus on gifting,
holidays, and content for our partners, this person's assignments may range
from updating product picks in our 'best gifts for her' shopping guide to
writing about big box shop secrets. You'll also be creating in-depth reviews
and quick, shoppable features on products or brands we keep seeing on
Instagram.
The ideal candidate will have a
keen attention to detail, knowledge of the affiliate revenue business, and an
interest in keeping in the know about product releases before they hit the
shelves. Relationships with key PR reps in the industry are a plus so you can
keep us informed of timely product launches. This person must also have the
ability to create snappy copy that incorporates general SEO best practices.
This person must be
data-orientated and have an interest in becoming an expert in our DMP and
analytics tools to keep our top content fresh, fun, and profitable. We use
customer insights and sales data to make our decisions at BestProducts.com – and we're looking for someone to
push our gifting and holiday content to the next level.
Responsibilities:
• Write and produce content featuring the latest,
buzziest products in all verticals
• Update existing content ensuring the latest product
launches and trends are reflected
• Work closely with SEO team and managing editor to
prioritize a mixture of content updates and new assignments while meeting
weekly deadlines
• Develop relationships with PR reps in the industry
• Advance our gifting strategy by understanding the
categories of consumers and using our analytics tools
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience writing
for a lifestyle-focused publication
• The ability to work independently, extremely detail
oriented and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Successful and current relationships with key PR people
in the market a plus
• Daily experience working within a CMS
• Proficiency with Photoshop or other image editing
software
• Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
• Minimum of 1 year using an analytics platform (Google
Analytics preferred)
• Bachelor's degree
