Hearst's Beauty and Retail Industry Team seeks an Associate Director of Marketing & Account Strategy, specifically for the beauty category. The Associate Director will act as a marketing ''quarterback'', guiding the work of a cross-disciplinary team of salespeople, account managers, content studio professionals and others, to build programs that allow for Hearst Magazines to grow revenue, while delivering powerful results for our clients. This work will include coordinating efforts between branded content editors, pricing teams, audience and insight experts and others, coordinating the collective efforts to pull together a proposal that reflects alignment of all parties while delivering on the client's KPI's. The successful candidate will also work with salespeople to identify prospects that can be approached proactively with compelling ideas that can preempt the RFP process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
What You'll Do:
• Conceptualize, and develop partner-specific marketing platforms, such as digital/print/social custom content and native executions, customized experiences, and data-driven direct marketing campaigns.
• Communicate marketing concepts and programs through compellingly written proposals, presentations, and sell-sheets.
• If sold, work on hand-off materials for post-sale teams within Hearst that will manage execution.
• Work with client/category/industry data, insights, and research.
• Ensure that all marketing work meets the standards of the brands, and all aspects of written, design, and execution are of the highest quality.
• Develop an understanding of client trends, competitive positioning and activity, and industry best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Who You Are:
• Experience in the beauty category, as well as the strategic aspects of branding and communications
• Proven experience delivering integrated programs within a fast-paced, environment.
• Analytic, problem-solving, resourceful and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience in developing compelling integrated marketing programs; strong copywriting skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment and juggling multiple priorities, and ability to operate in a team culture.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to influence and present to senior executives.
• Positive, ''can-do'' attitude.
• Tenacity, passion and drive for results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Keynote.
• BA or BS, 4 years of related experience.

The base salary for this role is between $101,000 - $109,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
