As the Associate Director, Digital Acquisition Marketing for Hearst Magazines you will be focused on acquiring new customers and maximizing subscription revenue across the top-selling magazine brands including: Car and Driver, Country Living, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Elle Décor, Esquire, Food Network Magazine, Good Housekeeping, Harper's Bazaar, HGTV Magazine, House Beautiful, Marie Claire, Redbook, Oprah Magazine, Popular Mechanics, Road & Track, Town & Country, Veranda, Woman's Day, Men's Health, Women's Health, Prevention, Runner's World and Bicycling. You will be responsible for the development and execution of digital marketing initiatives on-site, through paid media as well as partner channels. This position reports to the VP, Acquisition and Conversion.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and develop 4-person digital marketing team across a variety of channels and brands
• Oversee the management and execution of all paid media activity including search and social, optimizing a $1.5MM budget to grow ROI
• Develop and maintain site touchpoints to increase visibility as well as overall conversion rates
• Collaborate with partners Amazon, Discovery, OWN and Airbnb to grow subscription revenue
• Work across cross-functional teams including membership and edit on new strategic initiatives
• Engage creative and product teams to develop and deploy successful marketing campaigns
• Create dashboards to track and analyze KPIs as well as inform insights, trends & opportunities
Requirements:
• BA/BS from accredited college or university
• A minimum of 5 years of applicable marketing experience
• Acquisition experience is preferred, but at least should have a direct-to-consumer background
• Google Analytics or related Web analytics experience; Kenshoo experience a benefit
• Proven track record of paid media management, ideally through Google & Facebook
• Previous managerial experience with at least 1-direct report
• Hands-on, team player who is both proactive and solution-oriented
• Proficient in using data to inform testing and targeting opportunities
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Strong knowledge on MS office suite
