Your Role
We are seeking an
Assistant for Food Network Magazine, Pioneer Woman Magazine, and HGTV Magazine publishing
leaders. In this role, you will
proactively provide full support to the SVP, Group Publisher & CRO and
Associate Publisher, Sales. As an Executive Assistant, your
organizational and administrative skills will be used to help manage calendars,
travel, meeting and events.
This role is ideal for
the candidate who is inspired by Food Network, Pioneer Woman and HGTV and for
the person who wants to be immersed in the day to day world of magazine
publishing. Your grace and poise will be
invaluable as you get to meet, greet and work with leaders across the
organization.
What You Will Do
• You will manage daily calendars, arrange all meetings and
appointments for two executives along with their travel arrangements and
expense reports
• You will get to manage client entertaining such as restaurant
reservations, catering, host meetings
• You will be able to use your sense of discretion as you maintain
Publisher's email inbox
• You will help prepare Publisher and Associate Publisher for all client
calls and external meetings
• You will get to hone your PM skills by managing team projects,
proactively enforce deadlines
• You will learn more about publishing by keeping abreast of
competitor and industry news/press, update executives and staff
• You will prepare materials (documents, charts) for weekly sales
meeting and distribute sales signoffs between billing and reps
• You will assist with updating sales rep account lists and Media
Radar
• You will have a chance to help others grow by managing the FNM
interns and their curriculum
Who You Are
• You are passionate about magazines and especially brands such as
Food Network, HGTV, and Pioneer Woman
• You have at least one (1) year of administrative and/or office
experience
• You are confident in your communication skills and can
communicate with leaders and executives internally and externally.
• You have superior interpersonal abilities along with being organized,
efficient, and resourceful
• You are dynamic and accustomed to multi-tasking and setting
priorities
• You understand and exercise professional discretion
