Delish is searching for an enterprising and creative assistant digital food producer who will be responsible for building and updating recipes and recipe galleries and maintaining editorial excellence across recipe content on the site. The ideal candidate should be hyper-organized, detail-oriented, comfortable writing about food, and have a visual eye. Experience working in CMS platforms is preferred. Wha t you'll do:
• Build Delish recipes in the CMS
• Assist food team with timely publication of recipes
• Write strong headlines for recipes and recipe galleries in the Delish voice
• Work closely with the SEO manager to follow best practices for optimizing recipes
• Write introductory copy for recipes that help sell the recipe while incorporating helpful cooking tips and cultural context
• Update digital recipe galleries to maintain high editorial standards and SEO rankings, curating recipes, selecting beautiful imagery, and ensuring copy is in the Delish voice
• Update recipes onsite with photos and videos
• Add nutrition information to recipes
• Monitor reader comments on recipes and respond as needed
Who you are:
• 1 year of professional, post-grad experience at a food-oriented consumer digital brand
• Experience working with recipes, or at least interest in recipes
• An editor with strong editorial judgment and visual sense, excellent writing skills, and a basic understanding of SEO best practices
• Knowledgeable about food and cooking and dialed in to food holidays and seasonality
• A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail
• Have a commitment to respectfully providing context for recipes
• A team player and lover of fast-paced, collaborative environments
• Organized, proactive, and able to stay on top of deadlines and shifting priorities
• Cookbook experience is a plus
