This is a Full Time Unpaid Internship
The Media Software Engineering (MSE) team at WarnerMedia is a software engineering group that develops and supports applications and workflows that ingest media assets as they show up at our doors and run it through the media supply chain by processing, managing, transforming, and delivering the assets to various WarnerMedia platforms, affiliates and partners.
We're a team building highly available Cloud based media orchestration systems and we're looking for an intern to integrate with our team and work on impactful projects.
As an intern you will work as a member of our engineer team on projects that are impactful to the business while learning development best practices and gaining practical experience.
Past intern projects have included:
• Apache spark-based trend monitoring
• GraphQL poc
• Dashboard UI redesign
• Creating a custom workflow monitoring framework (using AWS Lambda)

The Daily
• Work with a team of highly motivated developers to effectively implement solutions
• Responsibility for design, development and deployments in conjunction with the team lead.
• Document technical solutions and articulate these solutions to the team
• Track progress, discuss any open items, blockers or brainstorm ideas
The Essentials
• A solid foundation in computer science
• Proficient in commonly used program languages - Java or Node.js
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with AWS or another cloud provider
• Excellent problem-solving skills
Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for full duration of the internship.
• Summer 2021 program dates are June 7th - August 13th; must be available for full program duration.
• Must be able to accommodate full-time schedule (40 hours/week) for full program duratin.
• Fully remote/virtual experience; company owned laptop provided for the duration of the internship program.
• Salary based on office location; relocation is not provided.
• This position is targeted toward upperclassmen and graduate students.
