How do I hire a Summer Intern - Media & Production Operations? OVERALL SUMMARY:
Assist Media Center staff with library organization, duplication orders, encoding, file transfers and job fulfillment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Aid the Media Center staff with duplications, encoding, file transfer management and editing clips for media relations outreach. The intern will also photograph all newly arrived assets, tag and organize them within Google Drive folders. Assist in the completion of long term organization projects involving tape library and inventory management.
SKILLS:
• General knowledge of Macintosh and PC operating systems and software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Desire to learn or better understand the technical side of post-production
• Previous knowledge of Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, MPEG Streamclip/encoding software, Google Drive, Codecs would be a bonus
REQUIREMENTS
The summer program runs for 10 weeks from June to August. Eligible students must be rising juniors or seniors enrolled in a degree granting university or college.
A minimum 3.0 GPA.
Able to work in Los Angeles and secure housing accommodations (HBO will not cover the cost of housing). Passionate about Film, TV, Media & Entertainment.
Prior internship experience a plus.
All internship positions are paid.
