Your mission is to launch HBO Max in The United Kingdom & Ireland , build a strong, engaged follower base, and drive brand awareness and love. As UK social lead, you will own, create and implement the local brand strategy and work towards the perfect split between local content and global IPs represented in our communities.
As Manager of Local Productions ( UK ), you lead the strategy, creative execution, and campaign rollouts to drive maximum social impact for HBO Max' local content. With a sharp eye for local trends and audience insights, you craft distinct, high-performing campaigns in close collaboration with regional stakeholders, activating industry tastemakers on social and curating content creators.
As Social Manager in the UK , you lead the launch and daily management of local social handles, creating organic and editorial content that reflects and celebrates community diversity. You stay plugged into local trends, collaborate with partners on events and campaigns, and drive visibility and performance. You own market localization, from crafting tailored copy to ensuring high-quality ideas, captions, and visuals that resonate - and manage vibrant community communications, partnering with CX for best-in-class engagement and crisis response.
Your Role Accountabilities
• Launching the HBO Max streaming service in the UK and all relevant social handles .
• Leading local campaigns on British Original Productions ensuring creative & innovative campaigns in collaboration with the local British team, briefing internal creative teams and agencies when relevant. You work with the social Performance team for optimal performance, relevant reporting, audience analysis, and collaboration w/relevant partners. You drive engagement and awareness through a mix of creative, innovative ideas & formats, and tried-and-tested best practices, and work to elevate British productions across EMEA where relevant.
• As the local lead in the UK , you own the local strategy for content creators (campaign based + always-on), cover local events on social and initiate impactful collaborations with local talent.

As part of the Brand & Content Social Streaming team, your areas of responsibility also include:
• Managing and owning your local Social Media handles strat egy .
• Close collaboration with the local team across marketing and comms.
• Creating, planning, managing, executing, and evaluating pan-European organic social media campaigns focused on engagement, retention, non-standard activations, and community building.
• Leading social media campaign development for global originals, Sport and other key brand initiatives.
• Creating tailored, out-of-the-box content in collaboration with our in-house design team.
• Working creatively with the content of the service to build awareness, drive engagement, and conversation on social media.
• Owning the daily interaction with our fans, working with the CX team, ensuring they're informed, engaged, and following our tone-of-voice.
• Monitoring , reporting on , and adjusting to local audience sentiments and trends .
• Staying on top of social media creative trends and ensuring top level social media marketing campaigns locally and on a pan-European level .
Skills and Experience
• Solid experience in social media/marketing brand and/or content
• Flexible mindset, ready to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Great understanding of and experience working with fan communities.
• Great knowledge and understanding of our brand and content - and its values.
• Skills in project and budget management.
• A self-sufficient and proactive approach to their work.
• Strong skills in creative ideation and copywriting .
• Strong campaign management skills and experience in campaign planning .
• Fluent in written and spoken English . Great communication skills and relationship management.
• A genuine , enthusiastic, and passionate fan of pop culture and new trends with knowledge and excitement for our content and product.
Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work.
