Warner Bros. Discovery seeks a Publicist to join the HBO and Max Media Relations Team:
Essential Job Functions:
• Pitch national and local press for projects
• Develop and maintain close relationships with press, executives, talent, and talent reps including publicists, managers, and agents
• Responsible for handling all press for press junkets and press days, as well as special events and premiere events, including pitching and running red carpets
• Cover talent in various capacities, including junkets, TV appearances, carpets, film festivals, fan conventions, awards shows, etc.
• Collaborate with marketing, events, and talent relations on planning and executing special events
• Participate in brainstorm meetings and help develop promotional strategies and positioning
• Create and maintain talent schedules, calendars, coverage reports, status reports, and research documents related to project campaigns
• Draft releases, bios, talking points, and other campaign materials
• Pull show clips, including for FYC campaign and awards submissions needs
• Book talent travel
• Book talent glam
• Submit invoices and track show expenses and budget
Job-Related Qualification Standards:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• 3-5 years publicity experience in a studio, network, agency, or publicity firm is preferred
• Must have excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with the media, management, talent, and the general public
• Must have excellent writing skills and press release distribution experience
• Good organizational and follow-up skills required
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Must be able to work in high-pressure situations, deal with personalities all of kinds, and be flexible to change
• Good administrative skills including proficient typing, computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, telephone
• Knowledgeable about social media sites, apps, television ratings, and trends
• Must be proactive and able to adapt to all environments

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skillset, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $59,496.00 - $110,492.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
