Talent Relations Manager
Overview:
Talent Relations is responsible for creating and managing the talent experience for HBO, Max, and Magnolia Network producers, actors, and on-air talent. The team organizes premiere events, awards campaigns, talent dinners, and wrap parties while partnering with other divisions to involve talent in large-scale initiatives.
Your Role Accountabilities:
• Manage talent engagement for assigned series in collaboration with internal departments (Programming, Media Relations, International Publicity, Awards, Social Marketing, and more).
• Build relationships with producers, cast members, publicists, agents, and managers.
• Track and adhere to event budgets, forecasting talent costs.
• Coordinate talent travel, including commercial and private flights, hotel, and car arrangements, and handle scheduling issues.
• Create detailed talent itineraries for award shows, panels, premieres, and other events.
• Manage hotel room blocks and transportation logistics for major events.
• Negotiate and track expenses for hair, makeup, and styling services.
• Assist in talent gifting for various occasions, including awards, life events, and production milestones.
• Cover events onsite, overseeing talent arrivals, departures, and other needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum of 7 years of work-related experience, with a background in publicity, agency, studio, or network preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
• Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, OneDrive, and Google Suite.
• Experience in event planning or talent management is a plus.
