Salary Information:
• Salary Range: $72,660.00 - $134,940.00 per year.
• Additional Rewards: May include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
Workplace Location Requirements:
• Location: New York, New York, United States of America.
Experience and Education Requirements:
• Years of Experience: 5 - 8 years in post-production.
• Specific Knowledge/Skills:
- Expertise in post-production processes including consultation on camera selection, codec, and editorial workflows.
- Strong understanding of color correction, UHD/HDR/ATMOS deliverables, and color managed workflows.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Scenechronize, MediaSIlo, AirTable, Smartsheet, and PIX is beneficial.
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
• Position: Manager of Post-Production; East Coast Post-Production Executive at HBO.
• Role Overview: Acts as a liaison among HBO executives, show productions, and external Post and Finishing vendors, ensuring all aspects of post-production are coordinated efficiently.
• Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the post-production process for documentaries, sports programming, comedy specials, and live/near live entertainment series.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure workflows, budgets, schedules, and media assets are managed effectively.
- Directly manage technical and budgetary aspects of post-production, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to budget.
- Supervise the creation of music and effects mixes and DCPs for various uses.
- Maintain professional relationships with key post-production talent and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional Certifications/Licenses: Knowledge of technical aspects of post-production and familiarity with industry-standard software and tools.
• Personality Traits: Detail-oriented, able to multitask, work under pressure, and handle delicate situations professionally.
Objective:
• To ensure efficient and high-quality post-production of HBO's East Coast productions by managing technical and budgetary requirements, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors, and maintaining high standards across all projects.
