The Job
Leave Specialist within Global Employee Service (GES) team in Turner HR. Position provides excellent customer service to Turner and Time Warner employees. The Leaves of Absence Specialists administer the leave of absence program involving the interpretation of Company policies, maintenance of relationships with internal and external partners, as well as acting as an employee advocate throughout the leave process.
The Day-to-Day
• Works with GES team, subject matter experts within Turner and Time Warner Employee Service Center.
• Provides expert-level resolution to LOA questions and problems.
• Resolves complex customer questions related to the leave of absences process or benefits.
• Liaisons with third party leave of absences vendors to resolve customer questions or problems.
• Collaborates with appropriate HR representative and Turner Legal to manage sensitive claims.
• Ensure accurate, timely and consistent service is being provided in accordance with service level agreements.
• Act as subject matter expert to Turner employee service center in addressing complex leaves questions and resolve escalated issues.
• Support special projects as needed (supporting new programs or legacy programs).
The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree preferred or 2 to 3 years work experience with Leave Administration.
• 2-3 years customer service experience, HR experience a plus.
• Experience handling FMLA, ADA, and/or other related leave administration.
• Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations, and ability to relate knowledge to Company policies.
• Strong analytical skills, detailed oriented and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, able to multi-task and complete various tasks related to a high volume of time-sensitive responsibilities.
• Interprets policy to address and resolve issues raised as well as providing advice and resolution.
• Experience handling confidential, sensitive, and proprietary information.
• Experience that demonstrates team player and flexibility.
• Experience working with case management system and knowledge base tools a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, advance knowledge in Excel a plus.
