Location: Culver City, California, United States of America
The Director, Media Relations will be responsible for overseeing the creation and execution of publicity efforts to maximize media, industry and consumer awareness for HBO and HBO Max original programming.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Create and execute strategic, effective publicity campaigns for HBO and HBO Max original programming.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across HBO and Warner Bros. Discovery to maximize cross-functional strategy and awareness.
• Develop strong working relationships with creative talent, producers, and representatives. Manage external PR agencies as needed.
• Identify opportunities, secure talent and filmmaker participation, and attend events as needed, virtually or in person, including premieres, award shows, junkets, press conferences, conventions, film & television festivals and other media events.
• Write press releases and other written materials, including talking points. Oversee curation, selection and distribution of media assets.
• Manage project budgets.
Qualifications
& Experience…
• Minimum 8 years of experience at a studio, network, streamer or agency, with an understanding of the entertainment landscape, trends and media outlets.
• Minimum 3 years experience leading project campaigns independently.
• Strong contacts with press and within the media/entertainment industry.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in managing direct reports.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Must be able to work weekends, nights and travel (US & international) when appropriate.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $108,360.00 - $201,240.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
