The Job
The Associate Manager, Events position will help ideate and execute screenings, receptions, and premiere events for Warner Bros. Discovery platforms HBO, HBOMax, Discovery, and OWN, for press, talent, influencers, and internal executives. As a member of the Special Events team, the Associate Manager of Special Events will be an integral part of the team, contributing to all stages of the event planning process from inception to execution.
The Daily
• Help facilitate all aspects of pre-event planning, onsite execution, and post event follow-up and reporting.
• Help plan multiple events from beginning to end, often simultaneously.
• Liaise with vendors, venues, executives, programmers and publicity in order to plan a successful event.
• Ability to work within a budget.
• Scout event spaces and make proper selections.
• Work cross functionally with other departments and assist in producing events for a variety of internal groups.
• Oversee the onsite vendors at events.
• Oversee guest list curation. Management, outreach and tracking in partnership with key stakeholders, including but not limited to Executive Producers, talent reps, and internal WBD teams across the organization.
• Process paperwork for events (ie contracts, payments, etc).
The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3-5 years of experience in event planning.
• Passionate about events, entertainment, and culture. Stays current on the latest trends in the entertainment and event industries.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• High energy, engaging and collaborative with the ability to work independently as well as on a team.
• A creative thinker and resourceful problem solver.
This position is required to work a hybrid in-person schedule at our New York, NY US office. Warner Bros. In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $52,649.00 - $97,777.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
